2019 75th Anniversary Return from Truk

Nauru Post commemorated this significant event with a stamp issue in July 2021 for the 75th Anniversary of the Islanders' return from Truk (now Chuuk/Ruk) after the end of the second World War. The issue also included a First Day Cover. The 75th Anniversary was celebrated on January 31, 2021, which was also the designed as Nauru's Independence Day. Muriel Cecil was born in Nauru on 12 July 1926. During World War 2, she was exited to Truk Island when Japanese occupied Nauru in 1946. She's the oldest 93, passed away on the 30th of July 2019.
